“We are overburdened yet underpaid” : Working women

The poll conducted by MySalaryChecker.com, on over 1,000 working women, showed that most of the women wanted an increase of four percent in their pay scale. They suspected that their male colleagues at par were paid more. They were still unaware of the industry rates for the job they were doing.

According to a news report in BBC, “women are underpaid and overworked”. This in turn affects their health and family life too. Many a women find it really hard to cope with work as well as family. Many women also feel that, though they have better organizational skills compared to men, they have to work hard to climb the ladder of success and also to get recognition in terms of financial and positional hike in the organization.
